The 7th CASSINI Hackathon: Environment & Green Transition is set for 13-15 September 2024! This edition we are utilising EU space technologies to bring about real change that protects the environment and improves green transition! From Norway to Italy, this pan-European hackathon is challenging Europe’s entrepreneurs, researchers, students, and young professionals to make a lasting impact on in environment & green transition.

Ensuring a sustainable future requires innovative solutions to accelerate the green transition, improve environmental infrastructure, and provide access to cleaner energy, air, and water.
The Re(Visit) Europe Hackathon is set for 12-14 May 2022 and is aiming to use space technology to revitalise and innovate the European tourism industry. From 5-7 November, hundreds of participants came together to be part of the 2nd CASSINI Hackathon: Connecting the Arctic. The hackathon once again took place in 10 European countries simultaneously with a shared goal: to solve the challenges faced in the Arctic region. Participating teams faced three different challenges and were tasked to address one or more of them:
The Arctic is a fascinating and complex geographical, meteorological and biological ecosystem whose impact is significant and far-reaching. From its highly transited shipping routes that connect the Atlantic and Pacific oceans to its role in regulating global temperatures, the Arctic is responsible for much of the way we live. The second CASSINI Hackathon will focus on this extraordinary region, challenging you to develop ideas that help maintain safe passage at sea, assist life on land, and safeguard its native wildlife.
The 2nd CASSINI Hackathon is set for 5-7 November 2021 and will tackle the challenge of connecting the Arctic with European satellite technologies. But where will the Hackathon take place?
