Are you passionate about gaming, sports or travel? At the 10th CASSINI Hackathon, you’ll get data from Copernicus, EGNOS, and Galileo to develop new solutions that reimagine the consumer experience in one of these 3 challenges

Challenges overview
#1 Enhance gameplay using Galileo positioning for dynamic experiences, satellite connectivity for real-time updates, or by integrating real-world resource data.
#2 Improve athlete analytics with GNSS, develop training plans that adapt to weather and terrain, or create immersive apps for fans.
#3 Use satellite imagery and positioning for safer, more sustainable trips, build personalised tools for travel agents, or design immersive virtual exploration experiences.
Who can participate?
⭐No space tech experience needed – Explore our online training library to learn about the space data that you’ll use.
⭐No team required – You can join as a group or alone; you’ll be able to connect with other professionals to build a dream team.
⭐ You might not be a coder – Teams need creative and business people too! The Hackathon is open to everyone, at any stage in their career.
Prizes
During the Hackathon, teams receive the support they need to develop an idea, research the market, and design a compelling pitch. After 3 days, the judging panel picks 3 winning teams.
Local prizes will include:
1st Prize :1.500 €
2nd Prize: 1.000 €
3rd Prize: 500 €
Central prizes
The local winners will qualify for the European competition, where they will receive the following prizes:
1st place: €5,000
2nd place: €3,000
3rd place: €1,000
Join us on 20 October 2025 for the Big Ideas Session of the 10th CASSINI Hackathon – EU Space for Consumer Experience! 🚀
This pre-hackathon event will introduce participants to the hackathon theme, challenges, and tools, while exploring how EU space technologies can inspire innovation in gaming, sports, and tourism. Participants will also meet mentors, learn practical tips for shaping their ideas, and get ready for an exciting hackathon weekend in November.
