The 1st CASSINI Hackathon will take place simultaneously in 10 different locations around Europe, from Ireland to Cyprus and a few stops in between. Let's find out where and how you can get involved.

Cyprus 

The CASSINI Hackathon Cyprus is organised by the Cyprus Research and Innovation Centre (CyRIC). Based in Nicosia, CyRIC support research and technology developments from idea stage to commercialisation and help businesses, inventors, and entrepreneurs to design and develop their inventions and ideas and to materialise their ideas into tangible projects and ventures. 

Czech Republic

The CASSINI Hackathon Czech Republic is organised by CzechInvest. Based in Prague, the investment and Business Development Agency CzechInvest is a state contributory organisation subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and are one of the leading organisations in the Czech space eco-system.

Estonia

The CASSINI Hackathon Estonia is organised by Garage48. Based in Tallinn, Garage48 launched their SpaceTech series in 2016 as a cross-Baltic event. Since then, they have organised five hackathons and two bootcamps in the space field, in 2018-2019 as a part of an international Est-Lat Interreg SpaceTEM consortium project activities. 

France

The CASSINI Hackathon France is organised by In Extenso Innovation Croissance (IEIC). Based in Lyon, IEIC was founded in 2002 and is specialised in supporting the development of innovative projects. Their mission is to help market and sell low and medium maturity technologies for laboratories, universities, incubators, startups and SMEs.

Greece

The CASSINI Hackathon Greece is organised by Corallia. Based in Athens, Corallia is an incubator, youth entrepreneurship accelerator, and multi-cluster facilitator with a vision to develop an environment with the right framework conditions to allow sciences, innovation and entrepreneurship to flourish.

Ireland

The CASSINI Hackathon Ireland is organised by National Space Centre (NSC). Based in Cork, the NSC works to encourage the creation of skills, the generation of ideas and the production of new services leveraging space technologies. They do this through their commercial contracts, academic partnerships, and Space Campus incubator.

Netherlands

The CASSINI Hackathon Netherlands is organised by EscherCloud. Based in Amsterdam, Eschercloud are building a more sustainable approach to data storage and super computing to combat climate change. Not only are they building the sustainable technical infrastructure needed for deeper learning and more intense computing, they are also supporting start-ups and other initiatives to conquer these challenges.

Portugal

The CASSINI Hackathon Portugal is organised by Institute Pedro Nunes (IPN). Based in Coimbra, IPN is a non-profit private organisation created in 1991 by the initiative of University of Coimbra, which promotes innovation and the transfer of technology, establishing the interface between the scientific and technological environment and the industrial sector.

Slovenia

The CASSINI Hackathon Slovenia is organised by The Slovenian Centre of Excellence for Space Sciences and Technologies (SPACE-SI). Based in Ljubljana, SPACE-SI was established in 2010 by a consortium of academic institutions, high-tech SMEs and large industrial and insurance companies to benefit from the advantages of small satellite technologies and applications in Earth observation, meteorology and astrophysics.

Switzerland

The CASSINI Hackathon Switzerland is organised by Space4Impact. Based in Lausanne and Zurich, their mission is to maximise the positive impact of space technologies on Earth. Space4Impact is a joint initiative between two internationally high-ranked technical universities in Switzerland, ETHZ in Zurich and EPFL in Lausanne.
