CASSINI Business Accelerator | June 25, 2025
EBAN

On June 3rd, 2025, the CASSINI Business Accelerator wrapped up its fourth batch in Copenhagen, hosting a Demo Day at the European Business Angel Network (EBAN) Congress. The event brought together a great mix of space-tech startups, investors, business angels, government representatives, and other key players in the European innovation ecosystem.

Showcasing Batch 4 Startups

Startups from Batch 4 had the opportunity to pitch their technologies in 3-minute presentations, followed by a Q&A session with a panel of experts. Each team showcased its solutions and products and demonstrated its market-readiness and stage presence, skills refined through the mentoring sessions on investor pitching and storytelling.

This Demo Day offered more than just a platform for exposure: it gave potential partners and investors the chance to engage directly with founders and explore collaboration opportunities. From custom-made and tailored hardware to space-enabled services, the pitches demonstrated the strength and versatility of Europe’s growing spacetech sector.

Insights from the EBAN Congress in Copenhagen

Beyond Demo Day, the EBAN Congress explored where Europe’s startup and innovation ecosystem stands in 2025 and where it’s headed.

Several sessions touched upon the challenges of scaling startups in Europe, especially the ongoing gap in late-stage funding. While early-stage activity is thriving, many founders still look to the United States for growth. Calls were made for more institutional capital, faster regulatory alignment, and better support for talent retention.

New policy initiatives like the EU Startup and Scale-up Strategy and the European Competitiveness Fund were seen as key tools to boost Europe’s position.

The spotlight was also on fast-growing sectors: AI, defence tech, and sustainability, where the Clean Industrial Deal is opening up space for green innovation.

The takeaway? There’s momentum, but still work to do to make Europe the best place to build and scale.

Looking Ahead

The Demo Day in Copenhagen marked an exciting milestone for the Batch 4 startups, an opportunity to share their vision, connect with key stakeholders, and show how far they’ve come.

With this batch wrapped up, we’re proud of the progress made and excited to follow the journeys of these ambitious teams. With continued support from the CASSINI Business Accelerator, Europe is well-positioned to scale its spacetech ecosystem and empower the next generation of founders.
