Our Batch 5 startups of the CASSINI Business Accelerator successfully completed their acceleration journey, which took place from 1 June 2025 to 30 November 2025. Yet another achievement of the programme in strengthening and preparing Europe’s top space technologies for the fast-moving space economy.
Driving Sales Growth
Throughout the six-months programme, Batch 5 participants succeeded in securing 1015 sales leads. These led to 435 qualified prospects, which progressed into 243 concrete business opportunities and ultimately resulted in 69 closed deals. On top of that, the companies’ sales efforts generated a cumulative value of €14.4 million, including €7.9 million from new customers.
Batch 5 stood out for its higher proportion of upstream companies. As a result, companies closed fewer deals, but with significantly higher value than in previous batches. Another strong point is the commercial traction with new customers: €7.9 million in new business, representing 55% of total sales. This focus on expanding companies’ customer base was key to generating fresh commercial opportunities and driving higher revenue.
Securing Funding
The companies not only drove sales growth but also raised €42.5 million of public funding over the past six months. On the private funding side, four companies participated in equity rounds and raised collectively €13.8 million. Additionally, the companies secured another €4.9 million from other private funding sources, such as business loans.
This once again shows that by unlocking funding opportunities, the CASSINI Business Accelerator continues to drive tangible business growth for its participants.
Fostering Employment & Societal Impact
Beyond boosting sales and revenue, the CASSINI Business Accelerator helped this batch to grow their teams. In the past six months, the cohort added 94 new full-time equivalent (FTE) positions, a 25% increase. They now employ a total of 464.5 FTEs, with women making up 22% of the workforce - underscoring the programme’s commitment in driving societal changes within the teams as well.
Looking Ahead
Overall, participants praised the programme for its strong support in achieving their goals and providing high-quality mentoring. When asked about their personal and professional development, the companies emphasized the accelerator’s effectiveness in facilitating both individual growth and business success.
The fifth cohort has now completed its chapter with the CASSINI Business Accelerator and we wish our graduates continued development and growth as they help reshape Europe’s space ecosystem. All the best and until we meet again, Batch 5!
